Draft — not yet in effect
Terms of Service
Draft · June 13, 2026
These terms cover two things: the founding preorder you can buy today, and the Debriefly app once it launches. Debriefly is operated by HeavyLover, 5F-508, 4 Suji-ro 342beon-gil, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea.
1. What you're buying (the honest version)
Debriefly is not built yet. A founding preorder is a $29 one-time payment that backs the product before it exists. It is not a delivered product today. In exchange, if and when Debriefly launches, you get:
- 6 months of the Pro plan at launch (a $54 value — 6 × the $9/month founding price).
- The founding price locked after that: $9/month, versus the planned public price of $15/month, for as long as you stay subscribed.
- A founding-member vote on the product roadmap — founding members help decide which features ship next.
2. Refunds
Fully refundable anytime before launch. If Debriefly hasn't shipped by July 2026, you're refunded automatically — no email needed.
- "Anytime before launch" means exactly that: DM us or email us, you get the $29 back, no questions, no forms.
- The automatic refund runs if Debriefly has not shipped a usable launch version to founding members by July 15, 2026. You don't have to do anything — the refund is issued to your original payment method via Gumroad.
- After launch, the first 6 months of Pro are already paid for by your preorder; standard subscription terms (section 4) apply afterward.
3. Payments
All payments are processed by Gumroad as merchant of record. Gumroad's terms apply to the payment itself; prices are in USD and any taxes are handled at checkout by Gumroad.
4. The app, once it launches
- Your content is yours. Recordings, transcripts, summaries, and tasks belong to you. We take no license beyond what's needed to run the service for you.
- Review before it leaves. Debriefly drafts; you approve. You are responsible for what you approve and send onward (calendar events, Notion entries, emails).
- Record lawfully. Debriefly is built for debriefing yourself after a meeting — it does not join or record meetings. If you choose to record other people anyway, you are responsible for complying with consent laws where you are.
- AI output can be wrong. Summaries and drafted tasks are AI-generated and may contain errors — the review step exists for this reason. Don't treat unreviewed output as fact.
- Fair use. No reselling the service, no abuse, no attempting to break it. We may suspend accounts that do.
- Be an adult. You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to preorder or use the service.
5. Subscriptions after the founding period
After your 6 founding months, the $9/month founding subscription renews monthly. Cancel anytime, effective at the end of the billing period — no exit hoops, cancellation works from inside the product. The founding price stays locked while your subscription is active; if you cancel and return later, the then-current price applies.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" during and after launch. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without affecting consumer protections that apply where you live. The operator is HeavyLover, registered in the Republic of Korea, at the address above.
8. Changes and contact
If these terms change materially before launch, we'll email the launch list and note it here with a new date. Questions: email osh805050@gmail.com or DM @debriefly on X.
